Follow these basic rules to ensure your resume reads well.
Make sure you include all contact details such as:
Full name, address, phone numbers (mobile included) and email address.
Keep sentences short and to the point
Resumes call for short concise statements. These statements do not necessarily have to be complete sentences; you can frequently leave out 'a', 'an', and 'the'. Make sure you get straight to the point and the resume isn’t long winded.
Use Plain English
Don't assume that the bigger the word you use, the more impressed the reader will be with your intelligence. Keep things simple and go easy on the adjectives.
Use bullet statements
Bulleted information is more readable and tends to stand out more than the same information contained within a paragraph. Keep the items brief and try to ensure all the points are written in the same grammatical pattern.
Make sure you:
Keep the font clear and simple
Include all contact information
Keep it to the point
Use bullet points
Include all relevant work experience and education
Make sure references have been informed that you have included their details in your resume
